Van familieplantage tot koffiecommunity
Koffie zit bij de broers Néstor en Adrián Lasso al drie generaties in de familie. Met hun innovatieve fermentatietechnieken en zeldzame koffievariëteiten gooiden ze internationaal hoge ogen op hun plantage. Hun koffies schopten het zelfs tot op het podium van verschillende wereldkampioenschappen.
Met La Planta schrijven de broers aan een nieuw hoofdstuk. In dit centrale verwerkingsstation bundelen ze de koffiebessen van hun eigen familie, bevriende boeren en jonge koffietelers uit de Colombiaanse regio Bruselas. Dankzij nauwkeurig gecontroleerde fermentatie- en droogtechnieken tillen ze samen de kwaliteit van hun koffie naar een hoger niveau.

We're hopelessly in love with coffee and the endless array of flavors it brings. We scour the world for the finest beans, searching for what's truly special. Always with respect for the farmer, the planet, and authentic flavor.
Selecting the right coffee beans requires the time and attention of our roasters and beankeepers. Together with head roaster Pieter Claes, they determine which coffee beans we like to serve to our guests.
The Roastery
All our coffee beans are freshly roasted weekly at The Roastery, in the heart of Leuven. Here, we inspect the quality of the green beans, roast fully electric, cup to refine the flavor palette, and package and ship the coffee to you and our bars.
You can visit The Roastery from Monday to Saturday for a coffee, advice on the right coffee machine, or for one of our lab workshops.
